An Olympics condom controversy

AKSARBENT just noticed a story about another crackdown on an unauthorized product promotion in London's Olympic Village; this one involved a bucket of free condoms labeled Kangaroos ("for the gland downunder.")
The company disavowed any involvement, called it a prank, and the Official Condom Supplier, Durex, which paid for the right to distribute 150,000 free condoms to athletes, seems to think so too.
What's interesting is the background, which claims that at the 2008 games in Beijing, 100,000 rubbers were available and that at the Sydney games, the 10,000 or so athletes (6582 of which were male) blew through 70,000 condoms (we didn't contrive that pun, honest) so another 20,000 had to be procured. The Sydney games lasted 17 days.
AKSARBENT thinks it has provided you enough stats to crunch the numbers. You're welcome.
(Still, we would love to provide a breakdown by sport and nationality.)
