reports that Staff Sgt. Eric Alva, who lost a leg to a land mine in Iraq in 2003 has taken issue with Marine commandant Gen. James F. Amos, who recently suggested that changing DADT could lead to “distraction” and instability — and, perhaps, the loss of soldiers’ limbs and lives.
Alva, who received a medical discharge, called Amos's behavior insubordinate and reminiscent of general Stanley A. McChrystal, who resigned under pressure in June.
“I wish Obama would invite [Amos] to the White House and fire his ass on the spot,” Alva told
The Advocate.
