In another story critical of Heineman tax plan, Omaha World-Herald again hides its own dog in fight; threat to newspaper sales tax exemptions, fourth largest of 27

Today the state's biggest newspaper chain found more flaws in Gov. Heineman's soak-everyone-but-the-top-20% GOP tax plan template.
In Governor Heineman has few allies on tax plan, the World-Herald studiously reported the opposition of business groups, agricultural organizations, health care providers, nonprofit groups, college students, airport managers and advocates for children and low-income Nebraskans. It talked about trucking companies opposed to Heineman's tax plan. It talked about Open Sky's opposition.
But it never talked specifically about the opposition of newspapers, even though the World-Herald's parent is the biggest newspaper chain based in Nebraska and even though the sales tax exemption for newspapers in Nebraska is the fourth largest of all 27 sales tax exemptions.
     Imagine that.
