Blue Coat tries to have it both ways: Our LGBT filter blocks sites 'generally suitable for viewing by all age groups' so you don't really need it — but here it is anyway

Blue Coat software isn't just for right-wing school districts who want to block kids from gay anti-bullying sites while allowing access to sites pushing discredited ex-gay quackery.
The Department of Defense uses it too!
Now Towleroad reports a petition to request that Blue Coat, which doesn't pigeon-hole other minorities for censorship, change its ways. Good luck with that.
Blue Coat claims it doesn't do business in countries embargoed by the United States, but its software keeps turning up in some of the world's most repressive dictatorships, like Burma and Syria.
