Officers in Jefferson County (PA) say 70-year-old Rosemary Bower of Brookville was traveling east on Route 830 in Washington Township at about 6:45 a.m. Tuesday when a westbound car struck a deer that ran onto the road.
The deer went airborne and hit Ms. Bower's windshield. The impact cut the animal in half and sent the head and shoulders into the car, killing Ms. Bower.
Her car hit another car about four-tenths of a mile down the road before stopping in a ditch.
