Garrett McNamara may have ridden biggest wave ever surfed, off Portugal's coast
Garrett McNamara rode what members of his group said was a wave the face of which measured 90 feet, which would make it the largest wave ever surfed. This happened near the deep-water canyon off Nazare, a small fishing community about 70 miles north of Lisbon, Portugal, a locale internationally renowed for the size of its waves.
