Will and Grace's Sean Hayes in talks to portray gay dad in new NBC sitcom

Entertainment Weekly reports that Sean Hayes, who played Jack on Will and Grace, is close to signing Rescue Me cocreater Peter Tolan and his writing partner Michael Wimer to a show produced by Universal Media Studios and Sony Pictures TV depicting two men raising a 12-year-old.

Tolan also worked on The Larry Sanders Show and Murphy Brown, as well as on the feature film Analyze This and Bedazzled.
