Even if the US Supreme Court ruled Nebraska's constitutional ban of gay marriage, civil unions and domestic partnerships unconstitutional, the state would still be among those which offer no statewide protection to LGBTs from being fired from their jobs, kicked out of their homes, or denied access to doctor’s offices and restaurant, or having their children protected from discrimination in school for having LGBT parents. And Nebraska would still permit parents to subject their children to harmful and discredited "conversion therapy.”
Possibly related: Omaha's Gay Day parade will be held in another state this June for the third consecutive year.
