An Omaha man put the case containing his AR-15 and a clip on top of the toolbox of his truck while packing for a hunting trip to Colorado, drove to his workshop, and discovered his gun was missing. Shea Connolly, a non-gun owner, found it in the middle of South 204th Street and turned it in.
Between that discovery and being notified by authorities that the gun had been recovered, the man (whose name AKSARBENT is withholding) posted eight road signs like the one below.
He who uses assault rifles to hunt is a former Nebraska state trooper. The weapon is now locked in a case.
