$3,499 Canon 5D Mark III vs.
$1,300 Panasonic Lumix GH3

This is the most beautiful camera comparison we've ever seen. The maker,
Ryan Mancuso, documented his methodology even to the point of identifying
the music.
This is a non scientific test of how these two camera's perform. Aperture, Shutter, ISO, White Balance, and Focal Length (converted for crop) were matched numerically on both cameras. Focus points were also matched.
GH3: Panasonic 12-35 2.8; Standard Profile, ALL-I; 0,0,0,0
5D Mark III: Canon 24-70mm 2.8 (Version I); Standard Profile, ALL-I; 0,0,0,0
No color-correction or post sharpening applied. Tried to keep flares under control as much as possible. A few shots have slightly different compositions. Lighting scenarios for the scenes did not change (the sun was not moving behind clouds). Each camera was set to 200 ISO for the entire test.
Music: The Silver Seas — "Tativille"
