Video: Omaha Chick-fil-A protest; chain funded SPLA-designated hate group which spent $25K lobbying Congress not to condemn Ugandan death-to-gays law

More on Chick-fil-A here if you're not sick of it already.

Ken Riter, of ProgressiveOasis.com, organized a 5-7 pm protest at 33rd and Farnam outside Mutual of Omaha Bank's food court yesterday.
Take particular note of the woman carrying the sign "Murder is not Christian." This appears to be reckless, inflammatory and hyperbolic — but it isn't.
Chick-fil-A really is that nasty — see graphic at left (click on it to enlarge) made by Scott Wooledge in the Daily Kos. Note that in its lobbying disclosure, the Family Research Council called congressional condemnation of Uganda's death-to-gays legislation a 'pro-homosexual promotion'!
This is the kind of people that Chick-fil-A funds. This activity has absolutely nothing to do with gay marriage in the USA or anywhere else.
The Family Research Council, cofounded by right-wing radio evangelist James Dobson, is an SPLA-designated antigay hate group headed by Tony Perkins and funded by Chick-fil-A's corporate charity.
Wikipedia has more about Tony Perkins:

In 1996, while managing the U.S. Senate campaign of Woody Jenkins against Mary Landrieu, Perkins paid $82,500 to use the mailing list of former Ku Klux Klan leader David Duke. The campaign was fined $3,000 for filing false disclosure forms in a bid to hide the payment to Duke. Perkins has stated he did not know about the mailing list's connection to Duke.
On May 17, 2001, Perkins gave a speech to the Louisiana chapter of the Council of Conservative Citizens (CCC), a white supremacist group that has described black people as a “retrograde species of humanity." Perkins claimed not to know the group’s ideology at the time, but it had been widely publicized in Louisiana and the nation, just two years earlier.

— and his tongue — to a KMTV camera
during an "Appreciation Day" for the
heterosexual supremacist fast food chain.
Chick-fil-A Express in Omaha did a brisk business today, running out of food about 5:30 pm as hundreds of Omahans flocked to the restaurant to show their support for the only fast food chain in America dedicated to making gay couples strangers to the law.
