Tennessee Democrats disavow senate primary winner revealed to be VP of antigay DC hate group

Mark Clayton, VP of Falls Church, VA group "Public Advocate of the United States" (a Southern Poverty Law Center-designated antigay hate group) and protege of its founder, Eugene Delgadio, has won the Tennessee Democratic Senate primary with 48,000 votes, twice that of the second-place finisher.
The party now has disavowed Clayton, says it won't promote or support him in any way, claims the only reason he won was because his name was at the top of the ballot, and has urged Democrats to write in a different candidate when they go to the polls to decide with whom to replace Republican Senator Bob Corker.
Clayton's platform includes ending an Orwellian super state that will swallow America whole and shutting down the TSA.
None of the Democratic Party candidates, including former Empty Nest star Park Overall, got enough visibility to get overwhelming support.

Party spokesman Sean Braisted said officials are trying to figure out what the party can do beyond condemning Clayton.
"We aren't taking any options off the table at this time," Braisted said in an email. "He does not speak for the Democratic Party."
In 2008, the party stripped a state senator who had sided with Republicans in a legislative leadership vote of her 19-vote primary win on the grounds that Republican involvement made the outcome "incurably uncertain." Last month, a federal court upheld the action.
The Democrats and the state attorney general's office argued that the primaries are a party function and not a state election, so courts generally cannot get involved in disputes over who is named as the nominee.
