68 arrested in D.C. Keystone XL pipeline protest while Rep. Lee Terry continues to run interference for TransCanada's toxic, leak-prone pipeline project

(Video of Lee Terry in Valley, Neb., 8/16/11: American Bridge 21st Century)

Responding to a question about the pipeline, Terry said there were other pipelines in Nebraska: "Well, you know there's others out there already, some are 30, 40 years old. I'd be more worried about those."

So, Lee Terry is more worried about, say, a natural gas pipeline than an extension to a brand new TransCanada crude oil (Keystone 1) pipeline that has leaked 12 times in its first year? Than the even more toxic XL extension carrying abrasive tar sands at up to 160 degrees and 1400-1600 psi — in a bigger but not thicker pipe? That will go through the most important fresh water aquifer in North America?

AKSARBENT is becoming truly appalled at how brazenly dishonest Rep. Terry has become in promoting TransCanada's interests above those of Nebraskans.
