Ron Paul delegates get swamped at last-in-the-nation Nebraska GOP convention

Paul supporters were hoping that the Cornhusker state would be the fifth (GOP rules require 5 states) in which they would get enough delegates to get Paul nominated at the GOP convention in Tampa, along with Romney, and prompt a convention fight. It didn't happen. They only got two of Nebraska's 35 convention delegates. Romney was worried enough to have sent (according to the World-Herald’s Robynn Tysver) "as many as five Romney staffers, including campaign counsel Ben Ginsberg, who was on the scene in Grand Island to keep an eye on things."
     Nebraska Watchdog noted:
Heineman did not attend the convention because he was chairing the National Governors Association meeting in Virginia – while Louisiana’s governor skipped the governors’ meeting to speak at Nebraska’s convention.
