Oh nurse... check Mr. Dobson's IV label for clues as to why he waited until just before Santorum's campaign is scheduled to tank before endorsing it, won't you?
Meanwhile, Right Wing Watch notes that the Red White and Blue Fund, a pro-Santorum Super PAC, is airing a new ad in South Carolina narrated by Bauer, who helped found the Family Research Council with Dobson, calling Santorum an opponent of “liberal elites and those who seek to undermine the nation’s freedoms and moral fabric.” Etc., etc.
Here's the sorry spectacle of Gary Bauer skipping merrily off the cliff while muttering crap like "principled stand," which a wizened, cynical political operative like himself wouldn't recognize if it crawled up in his lap, called him "daddy" and then pissed on him, which would be both poetic and just.
