Iowa caucuses: TV stations say Perry outspent Romney

But, says Broadcasting and Cable, Mitt Romney's SuperPAC was the second biggest bankroller of TV ads, dropping about $17,000,000.
The TV execs also say PAC money, which typically pops up in the general election, ended up accounting for close to half of the total political spending this time around in the state.
Most of that was spent on attack ads, much of which eviscerated Newt Gingrich.
