Omaha Police Department footdragging after terrifying armed robbery despite solid lead

Two days after an armed robber stuck a gun in his son Sam's face at UNO's University Village apartments, the laptop computer that the robber stole signed on to the internet and transmitted an IP address to Joe Turco, Sam's dad, who immediately called OPD to report the lead provided by the tracking software he had installed on the machine. He said it took a week for OPD to call back. Sam's son now lives at home. OPD says detectives acted "as quickly as possible."
