Reaction in Nebraska to Penn State firing of Joe Paterno and former University of Nebraska Chancellor Graham Spanier

Former Penn State assistant coach Jerry Sandusky has been
arraigned on child molestion charges. The Grand Jury
presentment is here and the grand jury's report is here.
The Penn State Scandal is front page news in Omaha as well as State College and not just because Nebraska plays Penn State this weekend. Graham Spanier, Penn State University president, who was let go last night along with Paterno, is a former chancellor at the University of Nebraska at Lincoln.
Ticket prices for Saturday's game have quadrupled and the 400-odd Nebraskans traveling to Pennsylvania are wary of the mood of fans there, as well they should be if the video below of Penn State students blaming the messenger by toppling a news van is any indication.
Nebraska fans have an excellent reputation. Penn State's do not.
The Omaha World-Herald's sports columnist, Tom Shatel, writing yesterday before Paterno's firing, noted that "Paterno's exit might be the ugliest in sports history."
     AKSARBENT hopes not.
