Man wielding running chainsaw scares 12-year-old trick-or-treater so badly she runs into traffic, gets hit by truck

12-year-old Leslie Garcia Navarro was trick-or-treating on 36th near Washington Street when a Halloween stunt startled her. 

Santos Garcia, the girl's father, who was at work at the time, called the accident "terrible."

Santos said his daughter was trick-or-treating with a friend when a man answered the door holding a running chain saw.

Novarro has a fractured neck, broken arm, shoulder and injured leg and her father is furious that no one has been held responsible.

Omaha Police investigators told Liz Dorland of KMTV that the chainsaw was chainless and the man wielding it did not commit a crime.
