Tech puts webcam spyware on women's laptops; then tricks them into taking machines into their bathrooms

Fullerton CA, Police Department
From Buzzfeed comes the news that Fullerton, CA police have accused, Trevor Harwell, 20, a technician for Rezitech Inc, of installing a computer program called Camcapture that took control of the webcam on his clients' Mac laptops.
Incredibly, they fell for a fake error message telling them to “fix their internal sensor soon,” via the following advice: “Try putting your laptop near hot steam for several minutes to clean the sensor.”
Harwell was arrested Wednesday and later released on $50,000 bond.
He got busted because one of the victims dads complained about suspicious messages on his daughter's computer.
