Missouri's Republican Lt. Governor Peter Kinder, widely expected to run for governor, says he only went to strip clubs about 10 times in the 90s and stopped because of his religious beliefs.

He also told Chad Garrison, of the Riverfront Times  that, though he knew Tammy Chapman when she worked as a stripper at the Diamond Cabaret, he hadn't seen her since — until he ran into her last winter at Verlin's where she works as a waitress in her underwear.
Well, hey, what are the chances of that, eh?

Kinder denied, too, that he ever got rough with Chapman while she performed lap dances for him. "Had I been, it should have been reported to the authorities."
