American Petroleum Institute wildly inflating Keystone XL pipeline job estimates in Nebraska radio ads; TransCanada threatens to condemn Nebraskan's property

You've probably been hearing American Petroleum Institute propaganda on local radio lately exaggerating the benefits of the TransCanada pipeline which will threaten Nebraska's Ogallala aquifer. Wanna have some fun? Right click on the API ad link above, then let it play in a separate tab while you read TJ Scolnick debunk what you're hearing here.

Then watch this:

Nebraska landowner Randy Thompson: (time counter 2:30) "Back in August of last year we received a letter from TransCanada stating that if we didn't accept their offer for an easement that they were going to condemn our property through eminent domain."

Aksarbent notes that none of the organizations fighting this has been as media-savvy and effective as the National Wildlife Federation. Kudos to it.
