In Iowa, the state senate president, Mike Gronstal, repeats his promise to kill a constitutional amendment to ban same-sex marriage and Zach Walls, the 19-year old son of a lesbian couple, tells legislators what his moms mean to him. Marriage equality is moving forward in Maryland. In Indiana, a constitutional ban on same-sex marriage advances under Republicans. A poll in Kentucky finds strong support for LGBT rights. At a vigil for slain Ugandan gay leader David Kato, there are charges that he was not getting the resources he needed from US and international groups.
