Gay Chicago attorney Laura Ricketts, sole Democrat in billionaire TD Ameritrade family, helps launch lesbian super PAC

Laura Ricketts (right) and brother Peter, who was the largest
2008 contributor to Nebraska State Sen. Beau McCoy, who
unsuccessfully sponsored Tennessee-style legislation in
Nebraska's unicameral to void any municipal gay rights laws.
LPAC, as the independent SuperPAC was christened, will be launched Wednesday with the freedom to spend unrestricted amounts of money for or against candidates.
     From the Washington Post:
“Being a woman and being gay is really a unique position in our society,” said Ricketts, a co-chair of the Democratic National Committee’s LGBT Leadership Council and one of President Barack Obama’s fundraising bundlers. “I know in my experience of activism, oftentimes it makes a difference if something is women-focused. It’s likely to get the attention of women much more easily.”
Laura's father, Joe Ricketts, the founder of TD Ameritrade, recently launched an anti-Jon Bruning attack ad blitz which was probably responsible for destroying the US Senate hopes of the homophobic GOP Nebraska Attorney General. Some people in the Cornhusker State are wondering if Ricketts bought himself a senator in Deb Fischer, who still has to beat popular former Nebraska senator and governor Bob Kerrey.
The elder Ricketts' flirtation with an attack ad campaign proposal (which Ricketts says he vetoed before it was leaked) against Barack Obama has infuriated Chicago Mayor Ron Emmanuel and may cost the Ricketts up to $300,000,000 in Wrigley field repairs and upgrades for their Chicago Cubs baseball team. The family was trying to get the city of Chicago to foot the bill, but now the mayor of Chicago won't even speak to Ricketts.
