KETV reports a DUI — its own 5 pm anchorman

Anchor Adrian Whitsett was arrested by Omaha police early Saturday, Jan. 28 and ticketed for one count of driving under the influence and a second count of driving the wrong way on a one-way street. He is now on a leave of abstinence absence.
     The World-Herald said he was driving west on one-way Leavenworth at 15th, about four blocks from home and that the cops say his blood alcohol content was .262 percent (OoohRa!); the legal limit is, of course, .08.
     AKSARBENT rests peacefully, assured that the very station which employed both Carol Schrader and Lee Terry, Sr. would never knowingly tolerate such shocking behavior.

    Of course this is a very high profile case. Which gets added to the thousands of other maniacs on the road.

    What will hopefully happen is that his car will be fitted with a Ignition Interlock Device that is used in Pennsylvania.

    Thats crazy because he had a great job and he is setting a bad example for the young children throughout the metro.
