UPDATE: AKSARBENT found the piano used in the video.
WHERE THE VIDEO WAS FILMED
The country road/cornfield scenes were filmed Wednesday July 20th near 108th and Capeheart Road in humid, 100-degree weather. The location is near Springfield, in Sarpy County, just south of Omaha, near the home of the parents of Gaga's ex-boyfriend and current "buddy," Luc Carl.
Filming was also done at a Biker Bar, the Chrome Lounge, 8552 Park Dr., Omaha, the following Friday but none of that footage appears to be in the video.
LADY GAGA'S AFFINITY FOR NEBRASKA
The following Monday Gaga did a live interview with the oatmeal sycophants at Channel 94.1 FM, where, thanks to social media, about 100 people gathered in stifling heat. The event was reported July 26, 2011 by Josefina Loza of the Omaha World-Herald:
Shortly after introductions, Gaga was asked a slew of questions. She confirmed that she was in town shooting her "You and I" music video, saying there's nothing "sexier than shooting a scene in a cornfield."
When asked about former boyfriend Luc Carl, she skirted the question, instead referring to him as "my buddy." She admitted to writing a lot of her music about him.
...While in Nebraska, she spent time with friends at a weekend barbecue. A low-key spot where Budweiser and pulled pork sandwiches were served. She also wore a Husker shirt that day.
She explained her love for — some might say infatuation with — Nebraska.
"My mom and her family are from West Virginia," which Gaga called a place of "warmth and hospitality." In Nebraska, she feels the same "connection of being back home."
...Gaga was charming, sweet and at times almost childlike. When Big Party played "You and I" on the radio, Gaga bobbed her head and swayed her body to the bluesy beat. When asked a question during the radio break, she apologized, saying "Sorry, I still haven't heard it on the radio." After the song finished playing, she shook her body as if she got the shivers.
