Newt Gingrich blatantly lies to CNN's Soledad O'Brien about gay adoption

Here we see Gingrich cynically pandering to the phony Christers-Are-Victims mantra by falsely stating that Catholic Charities in Washington, DC was forced by the government to close its adoption agency when in fact it chose to do so after DC told the agency it could no longer violate DC law by discriminating against otherwise qualified gay couples with taxpayers' dollars.

Gingrich also stupidly cited Massachusetts as further evidence of his ridiculous yarn, because Catholic Charities chose the same course of action there. What slippery Newt conveniently left out was that the Mormon Church continues to run its adoption agency in the Bay State, choosing to forgo tax subsidies in order to continue to discriminate against same sex couples, a fact which which irrefutably busts Gingrich's shameless and stubborn fabrication.
