Equal Nebraska is a confederation of the following organizations which are working to defeat LB912, a bill introduced by State Senator Beau McCoy of District 39 (Elkhorn, parts of West Omaha) which would take away Omaha's right to include LGBT residents in its antidiscrimination ordinance if it wishes.

Make no mistake: Sen. McCoy's bill, LB912, is specifically designed to kill Councilman Ben Gray's efforts to advance LGBT equality in Omaha, despite McCoy's smokescreen about "only" wanting to ensure "uniformity" in protected classes statewide.

Remember: before McCoy's bill can be voted on by the full legislature, it must be advanced by the Judiciary committee. Obviously, it's easier to sway 8 senators than 49. This bill must be killed in committee!
Equal Nebraska especially needs your help if you live in the district of any of the following members of the Unicameral's Judiciary Committee, (find your state senator here if you don't know.)
