Is Apple lying? It says it never heard of Prism domestic spying program; Washington Post publishes top secret NSA Powerpoint slide which says otherwise

ABC news says it received an email from Apple saying “We have never heard of PRISM. We do not provide any government agency with direct access to our servers, and any government agency requesting customer data must get a court order.”
Meanwhile, the Washington Post has published top secret NSA Powerpoint slides showing when "participating" companies "joined" the Prism program. Microsoft jumped through the government's domestic spying hoop first, in 2007. Apple has been on board since October of 2012, according to the NSA.
