Perceived sexual identity bothers Dr. Franklin Thompson

UPDATE: There's a whole lot more strange where this came from. AKSARBENT has eight more minutes of outrageous Thompson video here.

Dr. Franklin Thompson may be the biggest winner the University of Nebraska has produced since Dr. Paul Cameron.
Because Thompson's stylin' City Hall bio notes that he likes to box, AKSARBENT is guessing that, given his recent remarks, Thompson may not be all that adroit at dodging punches to the head.

Earlier in last Tuesday's council session, while whining about pushback he had received from students about his previous nonstance on the LGBT protection ordinance just passed, Thompson said (not in this video segment):
"Just this week, we [at UNO] had presentations on LGBTQ communities. Every semester we do that."
He then went on to say to Councilman Ben Gray, at 00:13 in the above video:
"Perceived sexual identity is bothersome to me. It's sort of like someone saying "You and I can perceive ourselves to be black this week, but next week we'll be white."
One wonders if Dr. Thompson "bothered" to listen to those presentations with the same attention he demands from his students. And if so, what excuse he might offer for such making such an incandescently stupid remark.
There's a LOT more crazy to Dr. Thompson. We'll be posting more of what he said Tuesday, tomorrow or on the weekend.
For now we will revisit Franklin's own opinion about his fitness as a teacher:
"I want to remind you what I've been saying for 35 years. In the classroom, in education, when the teacher crosses the threshhold of the classroom, he or she must leave her politics outside."
After that he read a glowing missive from an unnamed student who said Thompson "opened my eyes."
Other students of Thompson tell a different story.
42% of the students on the "Rate My Professors" web site rated him a "poor." (As of this writing an extremely small number of commenters, seven, had rated Thompson.)
Even a student who rated him "good" did not exactly see him as impartial (spelling corrected):
I really like him because I have the same political views as him. He is a councilman, and extremely political. If you don't agree with him then he won't like you. His homework is very easy because he is an easy grader, but his tests are IMPOSSIBLE!!!
Here's one from a student who rated Thompson "poor" (spelling corrected):
What a mess! This guy is highly political and opinionated. Thorough out his entire class he made me feel like a horrible person and I felt like I was being scolded most of the time. His tests are impossible and he doesn't go over half the info he tests over. Never will take him again.

Out of curiosity, if you even acknowledged only seven ratings, why even include such a worthless statement lol?
