David Letterman interviews Regis Philbin and acts like a 1950s homophobic jerk again

Last November, David Letterman's barely-concealed homophobia exasperated guest Jim Carrey so much that Carrey asked him, "No offense Dave, for god's sakes, have you ever seen a gay man? Are there gay people in Indiana?"

Last week Letterman put his disdain for gay people on display again in a schtick with Regis Philbin.

Philbin: We never have gotten together, you know, outside of meeting here on the show. We've never spent any time together and I've got a vacation coming up this summer. I think you're off. Why don't we go to Montana together, stay at your wonderful ranch, at night sit by a roaring fire. We wear cowboy hats and during the day once in a while we get on horses — I'll get on a pony, you get on a horse... we talk about the days of the great West. Is that possible with you?

Letterman: Are you a homosexual?
