Scotland, Maryland: gay marriage on horizon

Totally predictable gay blog picture accompanying
story of impending gay marriage in Scotland

John Wagner, of the Washington Post reports that a majority of senators on a key committee in Maryland now favor legalizing same-sex marriage, making it increasingly likely that the state will join five others and the District in allowing such unions next year.
Scottish Green Party leader Patrick Harvie has predicted the Scottish Parliament will back marriage for gays and lesbians after next year's elections.
He said an opinion poll showed 58 per cent of Scots favoured the move, with 19 per cent opposed.
"I believe there are enough supporters in all political parties for it to be changed during the next Parliament."
